About the event

Our bodies have a natural alarm system to keep us safe from danger.  This Stress Response includes a cascade chemical reactions that raise the heart rate, tense the muscles, dump sugar in the bloodstream and fixate our brains on the stressor (to name a few). While helpful if we are getting ready to fight a lion or run away from a bear, these reactions don't help much with our modern day stressors and can leave us feeling irritable, unfocused, tense and wiped out. Over time, this leads to increased wear and tear on the body which is why stress is a risk factor for virtually all chronic disease, mental health challenges and sleep issues. In this workshop we will review various ways to clear stress from the body and you will create a personalized plan to feel better. We will wrap up with some acupressure points to help with stress and anxiety.

This workshop is facilitated by Juli Wilde, a board-certified health coach with a master's degree in health coaching from the University of Minnesota.

Wilde Wellness' COVID-19 safety policy includes a vaccination requirement for all in-person events. Virtual options are available for those who are unvaccinated.
