Why Health Coaching?

Let’s get to the point… I’m here to help you find ways to feel better (and support your health and wellbeing). Our bodies and minds are really good at letting us know when things aren’t working, but we’re often so busy, we ignore the signals until our body starts screaming at us or the doctor gives us some news we don’t want to hear. On one hand, we know there are things we can do to support our health and on the other hand, change is hard and figuring out where to start can be overwhelming.

As a health coach, I offer you the chance to get off of the hamster wheel of life and tune into what YOU really need to support your health and wellbeing. There are a lot of messages out there about what you “should” be doing and that can be pretty overwhelming. I know that one-size-fits-all approaches don't work and that the most successful plan starts with you… what you need, the specific circumstances of your actual, real life, your strengths and values and what makes you tick. Once you’re clear about what you need, I’ll help you create a powerful plan to get there.

A health coach is your partner in creating long-lasting change by identifying motivators and creating realistic and achievable goals.  What kinds of things can a health coach help with? Before I answer that… I bet you already know at least one thing that you could do to feel better... and that's what I'm interested in.

Some of the topics that people choose to explore with a health coach include:

  • Stress, worry, burnout and work-life balance

  • Exercise, sleep and nutrition

  • A new medical diagnosis or health concern

  • Mental health concerns

  • Personal boundaries and self-care

  • Creating supportive habits and replacing unhelpful habits

  • Big life transitions

As a master's level and board certified (NBHWC) health coach, I don't have the answers, I'm here to help you find the answers that work for you. Research shows that working with a health coach leads to improved success in creating sustainable changes that improve your health.
