About the event
Over the next few months, we will explore tools and strategies to lower stress, worry and anxiety. But first things first... how can we take action to feel better when we're not clear when something's wrong?
In our first group session together, we'll tune into our greatest ally... the body. Our bodies hold so much wisdom and give us clues about how stress is affecting us. Sometimes these clues are subtle and sometimes they're like a freight train coming through.
In my work with clients and in my personal work, I've seen how easy it is to ignore the signs of stress and just "keep on truckin". It turns out that ignoring isn't an effective stress management strategy and eventually the chickens come home to roost. That often looks like the body screaming so hard that it's impossible to ignore; burnout, shutting down or even a new medical diagnosis or health scare.
In this workshop, we will tune into how stress shows up in the body - those subtle and not-so-subtle clues that give us the opportunity to change course. In this workshop you will identify the ways your body talks to you and learn how you can tune into your body as a wise friend. You will be guided into taking action to support your wellbeing in a new way and we will end with a relaxation exercise to add to your toolbox. All of this occurs within the powerful context of a supportive community.
This workshop is facilitated by Juli Wilde, a board-certified health coach with a master's degree in health coaching from the University of Minnesota.
